Awareness

Awareness is a simple concept yet within its meaning hides the richness of our being. Rising from our inner depths of simplicity and silence, it brings us toward personal leadership by helping us realize that a leader and those served must exist in the same space. Service defines leadership.

The experience of awareness exists by seeming paradox; the meaning of self integrity surfaces when self consciousness has subsided; freedom of action unfolds when unchained by self concern; an inner solidity at the core of being yet without self to be found. Awareness is a movement that naturally leads the person to reach beyond enclosing boundaries. From genuine awareness universal compassion is born.

How do we contact the world with awareness? What do you experience through your senses? What do you see, hear, smell, taste or feel, are simple questions. And when these type of inquiries focus on food or nature, wine and cigars, some people are often exemplary at being descriptive. Yet, when it comes to self understanding and understanding interpersonally, we fail miserably. We become clever and philosophical. We no longer bare witness with our senses, rather, we judge, create illusions, build false expectations and hunger for appreciation and acceptance.

Happiness and peace in community, workplace, family and self is not possible without wisdom and wisdom demands simple awareness.
